Just a short drive from Bridport in the village of Nettlecombe you will find an attractive and popular country inn The Marqis of Lorne. Originally a 16th Century Farmhouse this well established hotel and restaurant provides bed and breakfast accommodation in country style en-suite room with stunning views and a mouth-watering new menu.It has an excellent reputation for its food and the accommodaation having won numerous awards for both.
The Licensees Julie and David Woodroffe are now celebrating six successful years at the the Marquis and would like to welcome back their customers, as they have now re-opened following essential maintenance and a newly refurbished bar. Julie says 'It has done nothing to change the great atmosphere though, it's still cosy and quaint but the new warm red colour has made such a difference'.
Lunch and evening meals are all cooked a la carte using locally sourced food. They are supplied daily and include organic Powerstock Lamb, Woolsery Goats Cheese and when is season fish from Lyme Bay. Their speciality is quite simply fresh and wholesome homemade food. Chefs, David and Adam ave updated their menu bringing you more delectable, fresh local dishes.
