The Marquis of Lorne is situated in Nettlecombe, approximately 4 miles North-East of Bridport, just half a mile from Powerstock.

From Bridport, turn off the A3066 Bridport - Beaminster road (about 1 1/2 miles North of Bridport) following the sign for Loders and Mangerton Mill. At the junction, bear left past Mangerton Mill, drive through West Milton and continue for a further mile, then at the T junction (signposted Powerstock left) go straight over. The Marquis of Lorne is up the hill, approximately 300 yards further on the left.

The nearest railway is Maiden Newton (approximately 8 miles) or Dorchester (approximately 12 miles). There is a good taxi service from these stations. The famous Victorian Seaside Resort of Weymouth is approximately 20 miles and Lyme Regis with its Famous Cobb is approximately 15 miles.
